For daytripping, information and directions can be provided. There are several wineries,
galleries and golf courses nearby.
Hawk Cliff located just East of the village of Port Stanley, is a flyway for the
migration of hawks from September through December. Monarch butterflies congregate
there before they leave to winter in Mexico.
Port Burwell has restored an 1840's lighthouse, one of the two oldest in Canada.
Bring your bike to take a leisurely ride on quiet country roads to the historic
village of Sparta. Awaiting you there are shops, an art gallery and
a Quaker Meeting house which is still in use.
Two km east of the main corner in Sparta and across a one lane bridge is a Lavender farm.
The City of St. Thomas, known as the Railroad Capital of Canada is just minutes
away from Port Stanley and boasts art galleries, railroad, pioneer and military
museums, as well as many other attractions, including a monument of Jumbo, the famous
circus elephant.
